Overview

 

We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support development and maintenance of various components of AVA. Focus is on applied research, exploratory analysis and development of innovative components to grow engagement of users, specifically in the area of public safety. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with a wide range of problems from AI domain and collaborate with other functional teams inside the organization. 

 

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced front-end developer and software engineer primarily responsible for the development of systems to be used by AVA Information Systems. The position will be responsible for developing web and app-based front-end tools, cutting edge user interfaces, and unique data visualisation techniques  compatible across multiple devices and browsers. Must be familiar with the entire software development life cycle, including design, implementation, maintenance, and support.

Working alongside AVA Senior Management Team, the Finance Director has an overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the company strategy and is expected to analyse figures and implement recommendations based on these findings, with the most profitable outcomes. Provides financial advice and analytical support to help senior executives make key decisions. An exceptional accountant and hands-on with company finances, the Finance Director is also commercially aware, advising on the best path of growth for the business. Human Resources Manager / Head of HR (Novi Sad, Serbia)
Overview

 

The HR Manager guides, manages and provides strategy on the people function for the organisation, leading the implementation of policies and programmes necessary for the functioning of the company. The role also provides a comprehensive HR service which ensures that managers and employees are equipped with best practice to foster a high performance culture. The HR Manager is expected to be hands-on and assist with the management of both overall HR operations and the delivery of strategic objectives. The role responsibility is primarily focused on Novi Sad operations, but encompases the AVA global entity, including the HQ in Berlin.

 

Your contribution:

 

  • Developing and implementing HR initiatives in line with organisational objectives, ensuring legal compliance is met in all HR activities.
  • Leading the organisation’s HR function, talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, talent management, HR information systems (HRIS) and safety compliance.
  • Managing recruitment (including agency contractual relationships), onboarding documentation development, development and management of contracts for new and existing employees, health checks, training, holiday entitlement management, team building training and team building event support.
  • Create, update and review HR policies, procedures and guidelines and enforce organisation values. Develop company wellbeing, health and counselling policies.
  • Leading the analysis of employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a better working environment and engaged culture. Ownership and active management of company’s culture and climate.

Operators / Analysts

Data Capture Analysts (Novi Sad, Serbia)
Overview

 

The Data Capture Analyst provides an ongoing, semi-automated monitoring of various public digital information sources globally (sites like information portals, social media, news channels, public announcement sites, etc.), helps capture events of interest and reports them (through the use of the AVA system) to AVA clients.

As a successful company which is continually growing, AVA Data Capture Analysts, in addition to being an important element of AVA’s success, are also a great entry point into the company from which further development will be actively fostered.

The role does not require IT background, as all necessary training will be provided upon joining. An experience of working in a high performing IT team, however, would be advantageous.

 

Your contribution:

 

  • Monitoring sources of information (including news agencies, public websites and social media networks) in English (and/or several other languages), identification and recording of incidents that are a potential security risk based on our client’s interests.
  • Data capturing for AVA clients.
  • Contribute to system and process optimisation – as a regular user of the AVA system, you are permanently contributing to the optimization of the filters and relevance systems for detecting events of interest and you are likely to be involved in periodic reviews of the system and be invited to contribute to ideas for its further development.
